The 6th Annual Meeting of China’s Forging Clusters, sponsored by China Foundry Association, was held in Liyang, Changzhou on November 12. Approximately 600 representatives from more than 30 foundries in Liyang, over 40 industrial clusters across China and about 200 relevant enterprises attended the event. Vice Mayor Wang Yaoqing attended the opening ceremony.
This year’s meeting was organized by Zhuze Town People’s Government, aiming to promote the planning and development of China’s forging clusters to a higher level in all respects. At the conference, experts in domestic forging industry delivered speeches and exchanged ideas on the “Zhuze model” of green forging developed by Zhuze town, and on the green development path of forging clusters. On the 13th of November, the participants visited a number of foundries in Liyang, including Kehua Holdings Co., Ltd. and Liujing Technology Group Changzhou Co. , Ltd.
Over the years, Liyang has focused on transforming local forging industry into a more agglomerated, intelligent and environment-friendly industry. As the main cluster of Liyang’s forging industry, Zhuze has formed an industrial ecosystem gathering both local enterprises and introduced projects. Currently, the town has 12 foundries above designated size. In 2019, Zhuze’s forging capacity exceeded 200,000 tons, with over 1,000 kinds of products applied to automobile, wind power, nuclear power and other industries.
Going forward, Liyang will enhance exchanges and cooperation with forging associations, bases and enterprises nationwide, in order to introduce more innovative ideas and high-level technicians in this industry.
