On August 21, a delegation of the China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG) headed by Yang Xingshi, deputy general manager and chief accountant of CTG, came to Changzhou to inspect the work of the pilot project for “protecting the Yangtze River together”, and to learn about the development of Changzhou's new energy industry. Mayor Ding Chun, and Wei Ran, deputy director of Jiangsu Provincial Development and Reform Commission, accompanied them on their field visits.
Ding Chun said that Changzhou will give full play to its advantages, especially in the sectors of new energy, energy conservation and environmental protection, in order to contribute to the project for “protecting the Yangtze River together” and the construction of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. Ding Chun hopes that the two sides will strengthen pragmatic cooperation and promote the implementation of the project as soon as possible to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
The CTG introduced the advancement of the pilot project in the Yangtze River Economic Belt. Yang Xingshi said that the CTG is willing to deepen cooperation with Changzhou in the field of eco-environmental protection such as new energy utilization, in order to effectively improve the urban living environment and create high-quality lifestyle.
