On the morning of December 7, “A Bite of Changzhou” food festival kicked off at the Jiangnan Global Harbor, displaying and selling all kinds of local specialties.
Food is an important part of culture. At the festival, the visitors were able to taste and purchase the renowned Changzhou cuisines such as Huangli beef, pickled radish, pear-syrup candy, Yapu rice wine, Tianmu Lake fish head, Taicun fishball, Wensi tofu, and fried red bean puffs.
In addition to food, the festival also displayed some of the city’s intangible cultural heritages such as Changzhou comb, random-stitch embroidery, Jintan paper-cutting, and tiger-head shoes.
This event was jointly organized by the Cyberspace Office of CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee, the Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio & Television and Tourism, the Municipal Commerce Bureau, Changzhou Cultural Center, Changzhou Restaurant and Cuisine Association, Modern Express, Jiangnan Global Harbor, Changzhou Folk Customs Association, Liyang Bureau of Culture, Radio & Television and Sports, and the Cultural Centers of Jintan, Zhonglou, Wujin, Xinbei and Tianning Districts.
