On February 22, the 2023 Changzhou-Shanghai Trade and Innovation Cooperation Week was held alongside the Yangpu River. Hosted by the Changzhou Municipal Government, the event attracted over 200 representatives from renowned enterprises.
Chen Jinhu, Party chief of Changzhou, expressed sincere gratitude to all the participants who have long supported Changzhou's development. He noted that Changzhou has been actively integrating into the Shanghai metropolitan region in recent years, and Shanghai has always been a significant destination for Changzhou to attract talent and investment. As the two cities continue to strengthen their economic exchange and trade cooperation, he warmly welcomes more entrepreneurs to invest in Changzhou.
According to Sheng Lei, the mayor of Changzhou, the two cities have leveraged their geographical proximity, economic complementarity, and cultural affinity to the fullest. Currently, Changzhou is striving towards achieving a one-trillion-yuan GDP target and becoming a leading center of new energy industries.
She expressed confidence that the two cities will expand their cooperation further, and Changzhou will emerge as an international hub for smart manufacturing. A more vibrant, charming, and welcoming Changzhou awaits visitors from near and far to come and realize their aspirations.
During the event, 25 major projects were signed, with a total investment of 41.5 billion RMB. These projects cover various areas, including new energy vehicles, high-end equipment, new materials, and integrated circuits.
Municipal leaders who attended the event include Ji Peidong, Hang Yong, Qiao Junjie, Huan Heng, Jiang Pengju, and Secretary General Zhou Chengtao.
