Notably, international and regional passenger traffic soared by 138.7%, serving 120,000 travelers. June alone witnessed over 370,000 passengers, also hitting a historic high for the month.
The airport's expansion efforts have bolstered its route network, adding sought-after destinations like Turpan. Innovations such as themed "Cute Dinosaur" bus lines and city center shuttles aim to enhance passenger convenience and experience.
Looking ahead to the busy summer season, Changzhou Airport plans to further optimize its flight schedules. New routes include Changzhou to Weihai, Changzhou to Xining, Qingdao to Changzhou to Turpan, and Mianyang to Changzhou to Shenyang. Services to key cities like Shenyang, Harbin, Qingdao, and Turpan will also see increased frequencies, offering travelers expanded choices. Notably, daily flights from Changzhou to Turpan commence on July 5.
In cargo operations, the airport handled 8,649.8 tons of cargo and mail in the first half of the year, marking a 2.88% increase from the previous year, underscoring its role as a vital logistics hub.
