On the afternoon of May 12, the presidium of the fourth session of the 16th Changzhou Municipal People’s Congress held the first plenary meeting.

Qi Jiabin, secretary of the CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee and secretary of the Party Leadership Group of Changzhou Municipal People’s Congress, presided over the meeting.

At the meeting, Qi Jiabin, Bai Yunping, Zhang Yaogang, Li Xiaoping, Chen Jianguo, Sheng Jianliang, Jiang Ziping and Zhang Yi were elected for executive chairpersons of the presidium of the fourth session of the 16th Changzhou Municipal People’s Congress.

The agenda and responsible executive chairpersons of the session were approved at the meeting. Gao Honghua, Li Xin, Ding Jianwei, Gao Ping and Sun Rushan were elected for vice secretary-generals of the presidium. It was decided at the meeting that 16:00, May 13 would be the deadline for deputies to offer proposals.

The draft of a method for electing deputies, the draft of a method for electing chairpersons for the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee of the 16th Changzhou Municipal People's Congress and the draft of a method for voting on livelihood development programs were reviewed and approved at the meeting. The three drafts will be submitted to delegation meetings for discussion.
