On April 15, the 2024 Overseas Chinese Media Jiangsu Tour, under the guidance of the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese (ACFROC) and hosted by the Jiangsu Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese (JFROC), kicked off in Changzhou. Present at the event were Zuo Zhiqiang, director of the Department of Information and Communications of ACFROC, Liu Biao, chairman of the JFROC, and Pan Dongling, deputy mayor of Changzhou.
The "Overseas Chinese Media Tour" has seen 32 sessions, with its effects increasingly apparent and its influence growing. In his address, Pan Dongling emphasized the significance of overseas Chinese media, stating that they serve as a vital channel for our compatriots abroad and global friends to understand China. He expressed hope that through the lenses, microphones, and pens of overseas Chinese media, Changzhou's stories could be conveyed more vividly, thereby boosting its global visibility and reputation.
Twenty Chinese media outlets from 14 countries and regions, including the United States, France, New Zealand, Madagascar, and Canada, participated in the event.
From April 15 to 17, the 2024 Overseas Chinese Media Jiangsu Tour delegation will visit relevant enterprises and the Overseas Chinese International Cultural Exchange Base for interviews and on-site reporting.
