Qi Jiabin, secretary of the CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee, headed a delegation to the 3rd China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai on November 9. He urged exhibitors and government representatives from Changzhou to follow the guidelines of President Xi Jinping’s speech at the opening ceremony of CIIE, grasp the opportunities of the international platform offered by the expo, and ride the trend in a new development paradigm with domestic circulation as the mainstay and domestic and international circulations reinforcing each other.
Changzhou paid high attention to the organization of exhibitors to the 3rd CIIE. Over 10 foreign-invested enterprises in Changzhou, including Saurer, EMAG, Siemens, Mitsubishi Electric and Sumitomo Electric, registered as exhibitors at CIIE. Among them, EMAG and Saurer, both subsidiaries of Jiangsu Jinsheng Industry Group, have attended CIIE for the third consecutive year.
Qi Jiabin and his delegation visited the equipment exhibition hall which is dedicated to areas such as industrial automation and digitization, high-end machine manufacturing, and energy conservation and environmental protection. They visited the booth of EMAG, where the company’s sales director Yang Ming presented EMAG’s latest products and their areas of application. In the booth of Saurer, Qi Jiabin learned about the company’s main exhibit --- GlassTwister --- an innovative high-performance ring twisting machine for winding up glass filament and plied yarns. Being a global leader in the processing of fibre and yarn, Saurer has nailed big orders of 103 sets of GlassTwister during the expo as of the 9th of November. The delegation also visited the booths of AAC Technologies, Linde Gases, Mitsubishi Electric and other Changzhou exhibitors to learn about their exhibits and latest technologies.
