In recent days, Longcheng Talent College has been inaugurated within Changzhou Open University. This collaborative initiative involves the Organization Department and Social Work Department of the CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee, the Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security, and the Changzhou Federation of Trade Unions. This establishment serves as a pivotal institution for executing Changzhou's talent development strategy.
According to this strategy, 100 individuals involved in emerging business sectors will be selected annually for financial support and offered degree education and skill training to enhance their personal and professional growth opportunities.
The program encompasses both degree education and skill enhancement modules, aiming to incentivize talented individuals to participate in CPC activities and to bolster the skillsets of Party members. Specifically targeting workers in burgeoning sectors such as delivery, transportation, online platforms, and entertainment, who are registered under the Changzhou trade union, this initiative aims to uplift their capabilities.
Participants enrolled in the 2.5-year undergraduate program at Jiangsu Open University will receive nationally recognized diplomas upon fulfilling the credit requirements outlined in the curriculum. Additionally, Changzhou Open University extends complimentary skill qualification training. To ensure equitable access, the city has established a dedicated fund to support financially disadvantaged students in completing their studies. Furthermore, the trade union plans to grant annual scholarships to commendable students, thereby fostering a supportive environment for academic and professional advancement.
