Seizing the opportunities of major national development strategies such as the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) and the Yangtze River Economic Belt (YREB), from November 24 to 26, a Changzhou economic and trade delegation led by mayor Ding Chun visited Shenzhen to enhance the cooperation between the two cities.
The delegation visited a number of well-known companies, seeking cooperation opportunities in venture capital, smart city construction, cloud computing, industrial Internet, high-end equipment manufacturing, and other fields.
Earlier in October this year, the Jiangsu S&T Industrial Park of Shenzhen Sunway Communication Co., Ltd. was officially opened in Jintan district, Changzhou. It is positioned as the corporation's cutting-edge R & D center and production base.
The Greater Bay Area (GBA) initiative is a plan to build a world-class city cluster linking Hong Kong, Macao and nine cities in the Guangdong Province. As part of the 13th Five-Year Plan, the GBA initiative is an important national economic development strategy for China.
Since 2017, Changzhou has sent delegations to carry out economic and trade exchanges in Shenzhen for the third consecutive year, showing the city’s efforts to learn from the valuable experience of Shenzhen in building a demonstration pilot zone for socialism with Chinese characteristics.
