The third session of the 16th Changzhou Municipal People's Congress commenced on the morning of January 22. Wang Quan, secretary of the CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee, presided over the meeting. Ding Chun mayor of Changzhou Municipal People’s Government, delivered the Report on the Work of the Government.

The executive chairpersons of the presidium of the third session of the 16th Changzhou Municipal People’s Congress are Wang Quan, Bai Yunping, Chen Jianguo, Sheng Jianliang, Jiang Ziping and Zhang Yi.

368 deputies of the Municipal People’s Congress attended the session.

According to the agenda, the Report of the Municipal Government on Changzhou’s Implementation of National Economic and Social Development Plan 2018 and Draft Plan 2019, the Report on Changzhou’s Implementation of Budget 2018 and Draft Budget 2019, and the Report on Projects Regarding People’s Livelihood to be Scheduled in 2019, were issued to the deputies for review and approval.

City leaders Yu Zhiping, Chen Yuying, Cai Jun, Zhang Chunfu, Han Jiuyun, Chen Tao, Cao Jiazhong, Zhou Bin, Fang Guoqiang, Liang Yibo, Xu Wei, Zhang Yaogang, Jiang Bizhen, Lu Mingkang, He Yuqing, Wu Xinfa, Hu Wei, Xu Weinan and Chen Junjie, as well as Ma Rong, deputy director of Changzhou Intermediate People's Court, Ge Zhijun, chief procurator of Changzhou People's Procuratorate, and all members of the presidium of the third session of the 16th Changzhou Municipal People’s Congress, were seated in the front row on the rostrum.
