Font:〖L M S

Recently, a Mexican film festival was held in Changzhou to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Mexico.

The film festival was organized by the Mexican Consulate General in Shanghai, the Foreign Affairs Office of Changzhou Municipal People’s Government, and Changzhou University.

The festival was scheduled to run for a week exhibiting a total of four movies at the university campus. They are:

Asfixia, a movie that develops the symbol of a woman in search of many things;

Concierto para necios, a documentary about the current indie music scene in Mexico;

Tote_Abuelo, a documentary film that contrasts the point of view of a younger generation with a traditional world that was largely marginalized; and

Tlakimilolli: Voces del telar, a documentary that depicts the indigenous women weavers of Sierra de Zongolica in Veracruz, Mexico.

These movies will help the participating students at Changzhou University learn more about Mexican culture and widen their vision.
