On November 20, China Everbright Greentech Limited and Zhonglou District, Changzhou signed a cooperation agreement on the Environmental Restoration Center project. After the completion of the project, it will provide all-round support for the ecological restoration and green development of Changzhou and other cities nearby. Before the signing ceremony, deputy mayor Liang Yibo met with the delegation headed by Qian Xiaodong, executive director and deputy general manager of China Everbright International Limited, at the Municipal Administration Center.

Everbright International was the first one-stop integrated environmental solution provider in China. Its subsidiary, Everbright Greentech, specializes in green technologies such as waste-to-energy, biomass integrated utilisation, solar power generation, and hazardous and solid waste treatment. Based on the exiting solar power generation and waste-to-energy projects, the Environmental Restoration Center in Zhonglou has a planning area of 8,000 square meters with a total investment of about 100 million yuan.  The center will be dedicated to providing targeted solutions for the cities in East China and even the whole country in fields of contaminated soil and groundwater surveys, risk assessments, design of remediation schemes and engineering construction, as well as pollution control and ecological restoration of watercourses.
