On the morning of November 7, Yael Ravia-Zadok, Deputy Director General of the Economic Affairs Division of the Foreign Ministry, accompanied by Dr. Eyal Propper, Consul General of Israel in Shanghai, visited Changzhou. Party Secretary Wang Quan met with Zadok and her delegation at the Administration Center.
Wang Quan said that Israel's science and technology are highly developed, the country’s history and culture are long and splendid, and the Israeli people are smart, courageous and innovative. In recent years, Israel’s economic and social development has achieved rapid success and brilliant achievements. As China and Israel’s first experimental zone for innovation cooperation, the China-Isreal Changzhou Innovation Park (CIP) has gathered 80 joint ventures in the fields of medical equipment, auto parts and intelligent manufacturing, effectively promoting the matchmaking of innovative technologies between local and Israeli enterprises.
Wang stated that the next step of CIP is to fully combine the advantages of both sides to facilitate the entry of Israeli innovative companies into the Chinese market. In particular, it is necessary to improve government services, launch preferential policies and provide financial support. Changzhou will create a good working and living environment for Israeli entrepreneurs who come to start business, and upgrade this innovation platform to a new level.
Zadok said that CIP has opened up a new mode of cooperation between China and Isreal with innovation as the link. Both sides are full of expectations that the park will become a model for innovative cooperation between the two countries.
