The 2020 Jintan Maoshan Summit of New Energy Vehicle Industry Development, themed with green energy and smart technology, was held in the Sino-German (Changzhou) Innovation Industry Park (SGI) on November 15. Wang Xiaopeng, vice director of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, and Hang Yong, vice mayor of Changzhou Municipal People’s Government, attended the event and gave their remarks at the opening ceremony.

The summit was sponsored by Changzhou Municipal People’s Government and Xinhua News Agency's National Brand Publicity Project Office, and was organized by Jintan District People’s Government. Dr. Chen Qingquan and Guo Konghui, academicians of Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Ouyang Minggao, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered keynote speeches at the event.

Focusing on new energy vehicle (NEV) industry as one of its pillar industries, Jintan district has established an NEV industrial cluster with the most comprehensive supply chain in Yangtze River Delta, gathering over 110 automobile and auto part producers, including leading enterprises like CALB, SVOLT, BEST, SKIE and BTR. In April 2019, the NEV cluster of Jintan Economic Development Zone was rated as a provincial innovative industrial demonstration area.

During the summit, experts and enterprise representatives in the NEV industry visited CALB, BTR and SVOLT to share views on industry trends and cooperation opportunities.
