On June 3, it was learned that global coatings giant AkzoNobel continued its expansion in Asia with the start of production at its new powder coatings plant in Changzhou.

The plant - which the firm calls a "40 million euro investment" - will supply a range of Interpon and Resicoat products to meet the growing demand for sustainable products in key markets such as automotive, architectural and general industrial sectors.

Akzo Nobel N.V., headquartered in Amsterdam, is a Dutch multinational company which creates paints and performance coatings and produces specialty chemicals for both industry and consumers worldwide. It is a leading coatings company whose key products include automotive coatings, specialized equipment for the car repair and transportation market and marine coatings.
