On the afternoon of June 20, Marcin Zawiła, Mayor of Jelenia Góra, Poland, visited Changzhou. Mayor Ding Chun met with Zawiła and his delegation at the Administration Center.
The two sides signed an agreement on further enhancing cooperation and exchanges in economy, trade, education, culture, medical care and tourism.
Ding said that since the two cities officially established friendship-city relations in April 2011, both sides have maintained close contacts and conducted fruitful exchanges and cooperation in education, tourism and culture. Last year, the economic and trade cooperation between Changzhou and Jelenia Góra achieved double-digit growth, showing a very good development momentum. He hoped that the two sides will strengthen cooperation and exchanges in the areas of education, tourism, culture, medical care and elderly care, as well as seek common development to benefit the citizens on both sides.
The delegation of Jelenia Góra visited Changzhou Science and Education Town, Changzhou Institute of Technology, Changzhou Technician College and Changzhou Technical Institute of Tourism & Commerce, focusing on promoting exchanges between universities in the two cities, exploring cooperation models for higher vocational education and launching school exchange programs.

Wrocław University of Science and Technology, one of the best universities in Poland., also has set up a branch campus in Jelenia Góra.
