The Changzhou Municipal People’s Government signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Torch High Technology Industry Development Center under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) at the Changzhou National Hi-Tech District (CND) on November 13. This collaboration aims to accelerate the commercialization of technological breakthroughs and foster industrial growth, contributing to the district’s high-quality development. He Nianchu, deputy director of the Torch Center, and Jiang Pengju, deputy mayor of Changzhou, attended the signing ceremony.
The Torch Center, as the operational body of China’s national Torch Program, plays a vital role in advancing high-tech industrial development. Its key responsibilities include supporting national high-tech zones, innovation demonstration areas, technology business incubators, high-tech enterprises, small and medium-sized technology firms, and industrial innovation clusters.
Under the agreement, the Torch Center will prioritize the cultivation of industrial clusters and the improvement of park operational efficiency. It will focus on integrating advanced technological resources, enhancing digital infrastructure, and strengthening incubation capabilities. These efforts aim to position CND as a national leader in sustainable and high-tech-driven development.
During their visit, Torch Center representatives toured several enterprises in CND, gaining firsthand insights into Changzhou’s innovative ecosystem and industrial strengths. This exchange highlighted the district’s progress in fostering a robust environment for innovation and industrial growth.
