Changzhou Benniu International Airport achieved impressive growth in November, with passenger traffic reaching 346,000—a year-on-year increase of 20.9%. International passenger numbers climbed to 16,000, reflecting a sharp 38.2% rise, while cargo and mail throughput grew by 29.27% to 2,259.5 tonnes.

Strategic marketing efforts during the off-peak season delivered strong results, with domestic flights achieving an average seat occupancy rate of 82.8%. The newly launched Boao route recorded a seat occupancy rate of 83%, while enhanced services on the Vientiane route to Laos increased occupancy levels to over 90%.

To strengthen its market position, the airport partnered with airlines such as China Eastern Airlines, Shenzhen Airlines, and Air Macau. These partnerships included outreach to central enterprises and publicly listed companies across China, providing valuable insights into corporate travel needs and laying the groundwork for future route development.

Cargo operations also performed well, supported by initiatives to stabilize freight volumes. Airlines benefited from discounted shipping rates, and the transportation season for premium goods like hairy crabs—a seasonal freshwater delicacy popular in China—was extended. During Double Eleven, China’s largest annual online shopping festival on November 11, the airport collaborated with courier companies to meet surging demand, optimizing cargo space and maximizing revenue.

International freight services expanded further with the inclusion of inbound shipments of fresh and aquatic products. The airport also partnered with logistics agents from Vipshop, a leading Chinese e-commerce platform, to broaden its global freight capabilities. Additionally, a new route connecting Kunming, a key city in southwestern China, to Dubai, a major trade hub in the United Arab Emirates, via China Eastern Airlines enhanced its global cargo transshipment capacity. This connection strengthens the airport's role as a bridge linking regional markets in Asia with international destinations.
