On the afternoon of May 18, the 2020 Sino-German Innovation Collaboration Conference was held in Changzhou Science and Education Town. At the conference, the Sino-German Innovation and Cooperation Center, the Changzhou Alliance for Transnational Technology Transfer (CZPDC) the Innovation and Practice Base of Changzhou Western Returned Scholars Association (CZWRSA) were inaugurated.
Han Jiuyun, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee, head of Changzhou United Front Department and secretary of the Party Working Committee of Changzhou Science and Education Town, delivered a speech. Lu Jinlin, vice secretary of the Party Working Committee of Changzhou Science and Education Town and director of the Town’s Administration Committee, presided over the conference.

The Sino-German Innovation Park was founded in 2013 under the EU-China Urbanization Partnership. This year, the CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee and the Municipal Government set up a task force for the Park to integrate resources from various departments and industries. Focusing on industrial innovation and cooperation, its targets are to further promote industry-education integration and become a pioneer of international cooperation. The conference, having two centers inaugurated, nine projects signed and five technology fruits released, serves to deepen Changzhou’s cooperation with Germany and promote the city’s industrial restructuring and economic development.
