Thanks to the support of all residents of Changzhou, we have accomplished two rounds of city-wide nucleic acid tests in three days, making important progress in the fight against COVID-19. To curb the transmission of the virus and achieve “dynamic zero-COVID” in the shortest time possible, Changzhou has decided to start another round of city-wide tests between March 22 and 24.
1. All residential areas and villages, excluding those in Liyang county-level city and Jintan district, will continue to observe strict access control, except for those participating in anti-epidemic work or nucleic acid tests, taking out the trash, seeking medical treatment or purchasing medicines, or shopping for daily necessities. Residents should not leave their residences or enter other residential areas unless necessary. Please keep up with the testing schedule, attend the tests quickly, and promptly return home, following health protocols throughout the procedure.
2. Staff of government departments and institutions, except for anti-epidemic professionals, will continue working from home or volunteering to participate in community epidemic control and residential services.
3. Except for essential businesses guaranteeing water, electricity, gas, fuel, communications, environmental sanitation, food, and other supplies, employers should adjust business hours and arrange leave-in-lieu for employees during this period. Enterprises producing anti-epidemic supplies or practicing continuous manufacturing should ensure protection measures and organize staff to take nucleic acid tests locally.
4. All business venues and stores, except supermarkets, food markets, healthcare facilities, pharmacies, catering businesses (delivery only), and other businesses for daily necessities, will continue to be closed during this period.
5. Relevant departments and enterprises should ensure sufficient supply and stable pricing for daily needs. In addition to the 24-hour hotline 12345 for government service, all the districts, towns, sub-districts, communities, villages, and Changzhou Economic Development Zone have set up 24-hour hotlines for emergency response.
6. After this round of city-wide tests, the COVID-19 lockdown restrictions will be replaced with regular epidemic prevention and control measures on a step-by-step basis according to comprehensive risk assessments.
