Chinese women’s national football team won the AFC Women's Asian Cup on February 6 and won its record-extending 9th title since the last championship in 2006.
From February 18 to March 3, the Chinese Football Association (CFA) hosted a training camp in Chengdu, the capital city of Sichuan province, for more than 100 outstanding female teen footballers aged 15 across the country.
After the two-week event, two Changzhou players, namely Wei Xuanxuan and Jiang Ziyi, were named to the 33-member national women’s youth football team rosters for the 3rd Asian Youth Games to be held in Shantou city of Guangdong province in December 2022.
While at the training camp, these players participated in training sessions in front of a group of experts who observed and evaluated the talent of each player.
Wei Xuanxuan and Jiang Ziyi both played for Changzhou, winner of women’s football for players born in 2007-2008 at the 19th Jiangsu Provincial Games and the Provincial Youth Football Championship 2020.
