From October 24-25, Peter Manning, director of the International Department of Essex County, UK, a friendship province of Jiangsu, visited Changzhou to promote exchanges and cooperation with the city in the field of education.
On the morning of the 25th, the delegation and the leaders of six primary and secondary schools in Changzhou held a meeting on how to improve the overall performance of a school. Anita Kemp, head of Strategy Planning and Performance, and Alison Fiala, head of Education and Early Years, introduced the basic education of Essex and detailed how the county government improves the overall performance of schools through cooperation and provides assistance for students with special needs. Essex hopes to communicate with schools in Changzhou to discuss how to improve school management and teaching. Mo Ye, head of the Youth Activity Center of Changzhou, welcomed the delegation and expressed her great expectation of cooperation with Essex.
On the afternoon of the same day, the delegation visited Changzhou Boai Primary School and Changzhou Shibei Experimental Junior High School to conduct preliminary communication and discussion on international exchanges and cooperation between the schools on both sides.
