On March 2, Huan Heng, deputy mayor of Changzhou, met with Benoît Guidée, consul general of the Consulate General of France in Shanghai, and his delegation.
At the meeting, Huan Heng briefed the French delegation on Changzhou’s economic and social development in recent years.
As of 2021, Changzhou has registered 61 French-invested enterprises, including four companies on the Fortune 500 list. These businesses are involved in machinery, building materials, infrastructure construction, trade, and many other fields.
Over the years, the two sides have established a long-term foundation for extensive cooperation, said Huan, adding that Changzhou will provide better services to attract more French investors.
The delegation, with about 30 members from French enterprises in Shanghai, visited SOPREMA’s Changzhou facility and Wujin Green Building Industry Cluster Demonstration Zone, after which they attended the EuroStar Sino-French Eco-city Innovation Cooperation and Exchange Conference.
