The city starts to build large-scale renewable resource recycling system

  On March 12, the launching ceremony of Changzhou renewable resource recycling system and the groundbreaking ceremony of distribution, transaction and processing center were held in Benniu Town of Wujin District. Mayor Yao Xiaodong was present and extended the warm congratulation.
  The system is invested by Jiangsu Green Energy Co., Ltd. and consists of three parts: community collection point, regional sorting center, and distribution, transaction and processing center. As the first launching project, the distribution, transaction and processing center covers a total area of 300 mu, and include six functional areas of commodity trading, sorting processing, warehousing and distribution, concentrated pollution control, products display and supporting service. The first phase is to be completed in December and mainly specialize in distribution, transaction and sorting processing of waste plastics. Meanwhile, the system will collect about 300 business operators of discarded electronic products, end-of-life electrical and mechanical products, waste paper, scrap rubber, waste glass and other renewable resources. In second phase, it will introduce the deep processing project of high-tech renewable resources in order to improve the resource utilization effect and added value of products. After the complete operation in the end of 2013, the annual transaction and processing capacity of renewal resources will reach 700 thousand tons.
  City leaders Yu Zhiping, Zhu Xiaomin, Zhu Jianwei, and the government Secretary-General Xu Xinmin were present at the ceremony.
