On October 10, four locally transmitted cases of Covid-19 were confirmed and registered in Nanjing city of Jiangsu province.

Twenty-three local asymptomatic carriers (one in Nanjing, three in Xuzhou, four in Suzhou, four in Lianyungang, nine in Yangzhou, and two in Suqian) were newly reported in the province.

Five inbound confirmed cases and one symptomless case were reported in the province.

Seven hospitalized Covid-19 patients were discharged, while nine asymptomatic carriers were released from medical observation.

Ninety-five confirmed cases (59 local and 36 inbound) are still undergoing treatment at designated hospitals, while 195 asymptomatic carriers (128 local and 67 inbound) are currently under medical observation in isolation.

As of this update, China's list of virus transmission zones stands at 1,317 high-risk, 973 medium-risk, and 242 low-risk areas.
