The 2024 Changzhou Zhonglou Half Marathon kicked off precisely at 7:30 am on March 31, marked by the resounding blast of a starting gun at the Xilin National Fitness Center. Over 10,000 runners from across the nation gathered in the iconic Zhonglou district, embarking on a journey to experience its unique charm amidst the vibrant spring atmosphere.

As the inaugural event of the Changzhou Marathon Tours 2024, the Zhonglou Half Marathon holds the prestigious certification of the Chinese Athletics Association. Set against the backdrop of Zhonglou's historic downtown, participants witnessed a seamless blend of tradition and modernity  in the realm of sports competition.

The route was energized by 11 lively cheerleading performances, injecting enthusiasm and keeping every runner motivated throughout the course. To cap off the experience, the organizing committee arranged a variety of food and cultural activities, allowing participants to savor authentic Zhonglou cuisine and immerse themselves in the district's rich cultural heritage.
