On June 23, the opening ceremony of the “Changzhou Cuisine Entering Taiwan” cultural exchange event was held in New Taipei, Taiwan. Over 100 guests attended the event to have a “bite” of Changzhou.
The Changzhou Cuisine Association sent five nationally recognized culinary professionals to make on site the traditional Changzhou dishes such as sesame cake, lard roll, fish head in casserole and stir-fried rice with pickled radish.
It is learned that the event was co-hosted by the Taiwan Affairs Office of Changzhou Municipal People’s Government, the Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism and the Municipal Bureau of Commerce. Various food culture exchange activities were held in Jinshan, New Taipei and Puli, Nantou, as well as some universities in Taiwan.
