On the afternoon of June 19, Party Secretary Wang Quan met with the important guests coming to attend the 2019 World Industrial and Energy Internet Expo in Changzhou.

Wang Quan expressed warm welcome to the guests at home and abroad and expressed his gratitude to them for supporting Changzhou to host the 2019 World Industrial and Energy Internet Expo. He introduced that Changzhou is currently promoting the transformation and upgrading of its manufacturing industry. With the rapid development and integration of next-generation information technology and intelligent manufacturing technologies such as big data, cloud computing and mobile Internet, there is a comprehensive, deep and revolutionary impact on the development of the real economy, especially the manufacturing industry. Changzhou hopes to seize the opportunity of holding the Expo, focus on intelligent manufacturing, deepen the "Internet + advanced manufacturing" reform, promote the development of Changzhou’s leading enterprises and strive to build Changzhou into a high-level star city of industry. The CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee and Municipal Government will focus on creating a first-class business environment with the best policies, the lowest costs and the most efficient services to support the enterprises and talents to give full play to their abilities and make a difference in Changzhou.

The guests expressed their full support for the development of Changzhou's industrial and energy Internet industry.

During the Expo, more than 750 guests from governments, universities, enterprises, international organizations, scientific research institutions and non-governmental organizations from all over the world shared the world's leading concepts and technologies of industrial and energy Internet, explored the industry trends of the new era and discussed the opportunities of industrial development.

At the same time, the "1+1+5+1" series activities were held during June 20-23, including the World Summit on Industrial and Energy Internet, the Exhibition of Industrial and Energy Internet Applications and Products, the five sub-forums held respectively at Changzhou Science and Education Town and Xinbei, Wujin, Tianning and Zhonglou Districts, and the Industrial APP Competition.

The number of exhibitors reached 77, including the Fortune Global 500 companies such as Honeywell and Itelligence Consulting, as well as China’s leading enterprises like Huawei, China Mobile, China Telecom, Baidu Cloud and so on. Changzhou’s leading companies such as Trina Solar and Wanbang New Energy also participated in the exhibition.
