From May 19 to 22, Mia Shaw, mayor of Wyndham, Victoria, Australia led a delegation to Changzhou.
On the afternoon of May 19, Ding Chun, mayor of Changzhou, met with the delegation at the Administration Center and signed with Mia Shaw the Agreement between the City of Changzhou of the People’s Republic of China and the City of Wyndham of the Commonwealth of Australia on the Establishment of Friendship City Relationship. Wyndham officially becomes the 28th international friendship city of Changzhou.
Ding Chun hoped that the two cities would further expand exchanges and cooperation in the fields of education, tourism, culture and civil affairs, so as to seek common development and benefit the citizens of the two cities.
The City of Wyndham is a local government area in Victoria, Australia in the outer south-western suburbs of Melbourne, within the Melbourne Metropolitan Area. It has an area of 542 square kilometres (209 sq mi). The city recorded a population of 217,122 at the 2016 Census. Manufacturing is the city's largest industry, with unique advantages in chemical production, metal products and food processing.
