Between 15:00 of March 14 and 10:00 of March 15, four new confirmed locally transmitted cases and seven asymptomatic carriers were registered in Changzhou. As of this update, 19 confirmed cases and nine asymptomatic carriers have been reported in the city since March 12.  

Initial epidemiological investigations on the new cases showed the possible routes of exposure in Wujin, Xinbei, Tianning, Zhonglou, and Changzhou Economic Development Zone as follows:

Wujin: 

101-1 Daoxiang Rd. of Gehu Farm in Xihu sub-district, 29 and 52 Zhangjia Village in Hutang town, Yangguang Hotel at 129 Daoxiang Rd., the Grain, Oil, and Noodle Shop at 130-2 Daoxiang Rd., 131 Mid. Ding'an Rd., Agricultural Bank of China Changzhou Niutang Sub-branch at 290 North Hubin Rd., Haoyouduo Shopping Plaza at 6 Yanzheng Rd., Xinhualian Clothing Store at 1 Xinmin Rd., Little Sichuan Restaurant (about 30 meters southeast of Tongzhixing Kindergarten), 9-B Changhe Jiayuan residential area, Wandu Building Materials Mall at 78 West Dongfang Rd., BBG Plaza at 255 North Changwu Rd., Shop No. 1, Guoranshini Fruit Store and Ourdry Cleaner at Hongxing International Plaza, Yinggui Steamed Bun Hengxilu Store (about 70 meters to the northeast of Hongxing Venice Manor), Fengyou Building Materials Firm at 60 North Xinghuo Rd., Taotao Power Tools Store at 27-21 Changhong Village, and Nts Automobile Service Center at 379 East Juhu Rd.

Relevant epidemiological investigations, nucleic acid tests, environmental disinfection, and medical treatment have been undertaken.

Concerning the Omicron variant’s high infectivity and transmissibility, if you have recently been to the locations visited by confirmed COVID-19 cases, please take nucleic acid tests as soon as possible and stay home until negative test results are obtained. 

Those who concealed the fact of having come into close contact with a suspected or confirmed case and caused the further spread of COVID-19 shall be held legally liable under the laws and regulations of China.

Please avoid going out or attending any sorts of gatherings unless necessary. Maintain good habits for health such as washing hands regularly, wearing masks in public, ventilating rooms more often, using serving chopsticks, and dining separately.
